As much as we complain about how austere life is, none compare to the Jews during the Holocaust. Up until their death or escape, prisoners lives were characterized by constant fear, mistreatment and suffering. I have chosen to hold open my essay on the Holocaust because it is my favorite event that has happened in history. Before starting my essay I will be informing you on what exactly the Holocaust is. During the Holocaust the Jewish population consisted of over nine million. Most European Jews lived in countries that Nazi Germany would occupy or influence during World contend II. The Germans killed nearly two out of every troika European Jews as part of the Final Solution (the systematic computer programme to eliminate all Jews). As Nazis began to facing pages across Europe, the Germans persecuted and murdered millions of other people. Between two and three million Soviet prisoners of war were murdered or died of starvation, disease, neglect, or maltreatment. From the earliest years of the Nazi ruling, German authorities persecuted homosexuals and others whose behavior did not meet normal living behavior. As a child, Hitler was disrespectful, moody, lazy and hostile toward his father. Hitlers mother died of cancer when he was 19 years of age.
